Alpha Chi Omega History

About Us

Alpha Chi Omega is a national women's organization providing opportunities of friendship, leadership, learning, and service. Alpha Chi Omega inspires members to "Seek the Heights" and emphasizes the importance of being "Real. Strong. Women."

Alpha Chi Omega was founded at DePauw University in 1885. The seven original founders were dedicated to advancing 'the intellectual, social and moral culture' of its members. Today that holds true as thousands of women are welcomed into Alpha Chi Omega each year. Today, there are more than 140 collegiate chapters and 200 alumnae chapters around the nation.

Since 1923, UND Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Pi Chapter, has welcomed strong-willed and intelligent members into our Sorority. Being a member of Alpha Pi Chapter means being apart of an organization that encourages individuality, reaching your full potential and making the most out of life.
